Description: This is an early painting by Adams Wirt Garret. Garrett was born in 1908 in Fornay Texas. He studied at the teachers college at Columbia University, and at the art students League in New York. Garrett's exhibition venues included the Parson's school of design for the WPA, the Art institute of Chicago, and the San Francisco museum of art. A lot of his paintings were hung at his daughters home in Pownal Vermont until her recent passing, when they became available to buyers. He was awarded prizes by the Carnegie institute, international, Pittsburgh p.a., and many other museums.
