Symbol & name ‘BOY SCOUTS ASSOCIATION’ reflect first name given organization of 1912 royal charter in United Kingdom. Hat is very old and at best guess, comes from Great Britain around the time of Boy Scouts early days. Some visible wear & marks on ‘wool felt’ exterior, but still in very good condition - no pin holes & metal grommet weep vents intact. Leather band with buckle on exterior side in very good condition without breaks or cracks. Interior leather band with graphic text and silk bow in very good condition without breaks or cracks. Original chin tie in good condition and still functional. Interior original (paper?) label denotes size as; 6 5/8. Comes from a non-smoking house stored in air-conditioned environment out of direct sunlight (no fading of original color).
