Description: This and several other vintage airport GE lamps (that I will also be listing), are a recent find from a local estate connected by employment to a local airport dating back to ww2....this 4000w searchlight is the largest bulb/lamp in the lot...if you are unfamiliar with this type of lamp and are confused by the metallic sand inside...it was for cleaning the inside of lamp by sliding around and removing darkening deposits that occur in usage...cool old bulb for sure...I am quite positive this lamp has never been used
