VINTAGE NORTH EAGLE CALIFORNIA STUDIO POTTERY CATS VASE DECORATED REYNOLDS FRIED

Description: North Eagle Studio Art Pottery Vase Description and Item Information Up for sale is this beautiful North Eagle studio art pottery vase. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This piece has glazed decoration depicting three cats. It measures approximately 7 7/8 inches tall, with a maximum diameter of about 4 3/4 inches. Unpacked, this bowl measures 1 pound 15.9 ounces. It would be a fine addition to a collection of American studio ceramics. Identification This piece is marked beneath, as shown, "North Eagle." The exact age of this piece is not known, but it is believed to be vintage. North Eagle pottery was made by artists Wayne Reynolds and his wife, Caryn Fried in Santa Rosa, California. Reynolds studied with Marguerite Wildenhain of Pond Farm. Tragically, the North Eagle pottery studio was destroyed in 2020 by the Glass Fire. Condition This piece looks very good overall, with no cracks or chips. It has very light wear overall; there are some wear marks to the base. As made, there are some scattered pinprick indents and there are variations in glaze application. Please review the description and photos, and ask any necessary questions prior to bidding or buying.
