Vintage North African Bedoin Textured Relief Sand & Clay Painting Signed Djenida

Description: Item up for sale is an absolutely amazing piece of original artwork on wooden board made using sand, paint and clay depicting a scene of Bedouin life in the North African desert. Camels, people, tents and mountains are done in relief ranging from high to low. Surfaces are constructed from sand and what appears to be a type of clay used to provide incredible texture. Painting surface is covered in sand and item has been hand painted. Surfaces show some areas of wear consistent with age and display. Painting is signed in the lower left with a name that appears to say Djenida or some variation of that name. Artwork was found in what we believe to be it's original framing. Wood body shows areas of wood and finish wear on all sides with interior trim showing paint wear and loss. Artwork itself measures 15-5/8" top to bottom by 23-3/4" wide. Entire framed display measures 18" top to bottom by 26-1/4" wide by 1-1/8" in depth. Amazing original artwork that comes fresh to the market. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
