Description: This listing is for a Nippon Japan China 5 1/2 saucer in the blue and white Flying Phoenix pattern.This is a vintage saucer and is in very nice used condition. I don't see any chips or cracks or crazing. The glazing is a little thick and imperfect in places. There may be a few areas where the pattern has worn a bit over time. Those few spots do very little to change the beauty of this piece. I have tried to photograph all the little imperfections for your inspection. Most are marked “ made in Japan” but others may not be. Some have a darker pattern, others are lighter. I will be happy to send you pictures of individual pieces if you like! Just let me know. I have learned through my research on this pattern that there is a very similar pattern called the Flying Turkey which is also quite collectible.
