VINTAGE NAVAJO STERLING SILVER & #8 TURQUOISE * THUNDERBIRD SNAKE CUFF BRACELET

On offer is an authentic, vintage NAVAJO hand wrought .925 sterling silver three (3) split wide band cuff bracelet adorned with a fine hand cut and polished southwest desert blue natural Number Eight Nevada turquoise flat cabochon stone. The bracelet is made up of three (3) hand cut split bands decorated with classic hand stamped rattlesnakes, thunderbird eagles, arrows and crescent motifs all around. This bracelet is hallmarked STERLING (worn), it is not hallmarked for maker which was quite common in earlier Native American jewelry prior to the 1970's. We believe this piece was created circa 1940's or perhaps earlier. This handsome bracelet was skillfully crafted in the traditional old NAVAJO technique with attention to detail and is in very good vintage condition (please see ALL photos for an accurate detailed depiction). The beautiful gem quality Number Eight turquoise stone is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The rectangle shaped spiderweb flat cabochon stone is firmly and securely set in a smooth silver bezel surrounded by silver rope and fancy wire work on a blackened ground. The stone measures approx. 1 1/4" long x 11/16" wide. Overall, the three (3) split band bracelet measures approx. 1 1/2" tapering to 1/2" wide. The plaque is approx 1 1/2" long x 1 1/16 " wide. The interior circumference of the cuff is approx. 6 5/8" TOTAL including 1 3/16" opening. The cuff has a bit of flexibility for careful adjusting and weighs a hefty 28.9 grams - .930 ounce.
