Description: This exquisite pin cushion is a true piece of Native American history. Handmade in the United States , it features intricate beadwork red maroon fabric background. The design depicts flowers and Starbursts, with the words “mother dear“ lovingly displayed in yellow and light blue beadwork. This Iroquois beadwork was made in mid-20th century on a Mohawk reserve near Montreal. This pincushion is in great condition based on its age. There is no evidence of any beads missing, there are a couple of marks where it was used as a pincushion . Beautiful beadwork. Some watermarks on the back fabric as well as two small holes in fabric . Cushion is very firm and has not lost any of its stuffing. Please see photos.
