This figurine has the older stamp that was in place from 1978 thru 1987. The stamp was changed in 1988. This figurine is a wonderful addition to any room and is perfect for those who appreciate contemporary style and the bond, caring, and love between a child and their furry friend. Especially when that friend isn't feeling well. The figurine does not come with its original box. This piece has been retired from production. I did not detect any signs of cracking or repair,, however there is a spot on the bottom of one foot that is missing a bit of glaze. It seems as though when it was made a little piece of porcelain may have come loose on the inside or a previous owner got a tiny bead or something in it that can be heard when the figurine is moved. Several similar photos were taken. Changes in the way the light hits it makes the color shades vary. Any way you look at it, it is a beautiful piece.
