Vintage Modern Library Copy The Trial by Franz Kafka! Good Reading Copy!

Description: Here is a vintage copy of The Trial by one of the world’s greatest writers Franz Kafka. This is the Modern Library’s Definitive Edition containing more than 10,000 words that were not originally published in the first American edition. This is a good reading copy only listed as such because of a stain at the lower end of the spine area that minimally affects a few pages but nothing of the text. The binding is strong and other than the aforementioned issue would be considered in very good condition. The green cloth boards and gold gilt lettering are indications of the pride that Random House had put into their Modern Library editions. The spine ends ( again aside from the staining ) and four corners of this copy are indications truly nice condition for a book that is almost sixty-eight years old. The title page has a previous owner’s names and address written in ink along with a favorite quote from possibly a Walt Whitman poem????? The dust jacket is complete and still has the original price of $2.45 present on the front flap. This jacket has wear mainly at the spine ends, along the edges, and at the corners all as the posted images show. The jacket comes in an older Mylar protector which can easily be removed and replaced with a new one should you wish to. The front flap has another previous owner’s name written up near the price. Again I listed this as a good reading copy but it will last for years and is a much better copy than that.
