Description: Vintage Mitsukoshi Japanese Rice Sushi Plates / Very Shallow Bowls, Lacquer Ware Set Original Box 5 Small Plates / Bowls - 5 inches across and just under 1 inch in height 1 Larger Plate / Shallow Bowl - Right around 9 inches across and 1.5 inches in height 1 set of chopsticks. This deep red / burgundy lacquerware is lightweight and looks like it would have been used for rice or sushi. The pattern / decoration uses gray / silver and gold and looks like silver dollars plants (maybe Lunaria) and other field plants and grasses. I listed this as used because it is opened, but it appears that it may never have been used. Excellent condition and in original box. Recommend hand washing only.
