Description: This miniature cast iron pot belly stove is a reproduction of a larger model and used by salesman as a sample of what the customer would get. This fun little piece has a removeable lid. This is in great condition with no chips, cracks, pitting, or rust. There are some rub marks on the sides of the stove and under the lid which exposed some of the grey cast iron underneath the black finish (see closeup photo). These are not very noticeable and should not affect the display quality. This stove is 5" tall, 2.5" wide and 2.5" from front to back. The bottom is labeled "No. 3, Pat. Pending", which from research I discovered meant this would have been manufactured as a salesman sample and not a toy. A fun accent piece for a vintage farmhouse decor or use in a dollhouse or other miniature display or use it to stash things you don't want others to find.
