Description: Vintage Miniature Butter Meadowmoor Dairies Inc. Chicago IL Illinois 1938 Style Wrap This cute little collectible came from a relative and it is is acceptable condition for the right person. This is not for a dollhouse as it is way too big, even for a Barbie. It is just a shelf sitter collectible that has been loved for a long time. This is a miniature butter package from Meadowmoor Dairy once located on Peoria Street in Chicago. There is a lot of history going back to the Capone days during this time period in Illinois. This was a small little advertising gift that sometimes they gave out, mostly to kids and young folks. It is basically a small block of wood or compressed wood and then covered with the label. The label reads Meadowmoor Creamery Butter with an old address that is kind of hard to read but it is readable with a magnifier. It also states 1938 container. We are unsure of the age of the item but it is 70 years old. We are not sure if this was given out in 1938 or afterwards. The item measures 1 & 1/4" long x 5/8" wide and is 5/8" tall. Conditional issues are worn paper and printing/ink and there is a small tear on the bottom. This is a very rare item and a super fun creamery and dairy collectible.
