Description: Up for auction we have a very unique Baseball collectable: A beautiful cigar box transformed into Milwaukee County Stadium, circa 1953. The Boston Braves had few pennants to show for their 20th Century efforts, and despite having a HUGE ballpark to play in, the Braves moved to Milwaukee for the 1953 season, and the team was an immediate hit attendance-wise. The Braves never had a losing record while in Milwaukee, but for complicated economic reason the Braves moved again, this this time to Atlanta after the 1965 National League season completed, despite winning the World Series in 1957 and nearly repeating in 1958. Why a Cigar Box Stadium? A great looking conversation piece for your den, or as a great place to toss the dice if you play one of the several excellent tabletop baseball games on the market such as Strat-O-Matic, or APBA. This beauty has been lined on the entire interior with .030 transparent plastic to protect your dice-throwing surface, and to ensure a true dice roll. Its approx dimensions are 9 1/4" x 7 1/4" x 2 1/4" and may become a family heirloom to be passed down from one baseball-loving generation to the next. If you play dice baseball, what better way to suspend your dis-belief, and imagine yourself at County Stadium watching a lineup of Hank Aaron Eddie Mathews and Joe Adcock terrorized NL pitchers in their World Championship year of 1957! The cigar box is in excellent condition. Buyer agrees to pay $18.50 Shipping & Handling. No foreign shipping unless thru Global Ship Program offered by eBay.
