Description: These are from my grandmother’s house. She loved the art of crochet and doilies for just about everything. She made these in the late 1940s to serve as coasters for beverages and petite bowls of nuts for her weekly bridge group. There were a dozen, but somehow, I lost one. Because they’re handmade, each doily is a bit different in size. They range from 4.25”-5”. The doilies are in excellent condition. After each use, my grandmother soaked the doilies in bleach and some corn starch and hung them in the sun to continue bleaching and dry. I have continued to treat them with care.
