Description: Vintage mid 19th century free blown beehive shape Whale oil / fluid lamp in excellent condition with no damage to report. It stands 6 1/2" tall to the top of the period collar which has fine working threads and 3 5/8" across the base. The underside of the base has a polished pontil scar from when it was blown. As with the majority of early glass, it may contain some normal inclusions such as seeds, bubbles, cooling marks, etc. Please view all pictures as they are a main part of the description.
