Description: Lot of 2 Vintage Metlox POPPYTRAIL Red Rooster Vernon Oval Platters 11" & 9.5" Condition:This is a beautiful set of two (2) oval platters from the Metlox Poppytrail Red Rooster Vernon pattern. They are stamped on the back "Made in California". This pattern was produced from 1955 to 1979. I don't know exactly how old these are, but they are definitely vintage. They have the brown band and red rooster in the center of each platter. The small platter measures 9.75" x 6.75" x 1.25". It weighs 1 lb 2 oz. The larger platter measures 11.25" x 8.25" x 1.75". It weighs 1 lb 9 oz. The combined weight is 2 lb 12 oz. They are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. I don't even really see any scratches or use. They look glossy and beautiful. There is one spot on the rim of the larger platter that is missing some color but it is not chipped. There are some minor inclusions as part of the manufacturing process. Please see photos for specifics on the condition of this set of vintage and super fun platters.
