Description: Vintage MCM Brown & Yellow Paisley Enamelware Stock Pot & Steamer Insert in EXCELLENT pre owned condition! Incredibly, there are NO CHIPS OR CRACKS TO ANY OF THE ENAMEL! Scarcely any wear of any sort is present! No dark utensil scratches inside the pot. Possible unused and just stored for decades. I have seen few items with such a classic, authentic vintage pattern in this condition. The brown and yellow paisley is straight out of 50+ years ago yet is like it's brand new. Use it by itself for cooking pasta or boiling potatoes. Or, use the very cool steamer insert for freshly steamed broccoli in a snap! It appears the way it works is you place the 3-fin piece inside the pot, add water almost up to the top of the fins, then you place the basket on top of that. Lightly squeeze the handles to fit into the holes of either side of the basket for easy lifting when done. The lid will sit almost closed, but not completely so that excess steam will escape without losing too much heat like if there was no lid. The black plastic handles on all parts are perfectly tight and like new. It is rather genius the design of the piece and I am simply amazed to have every piece of it.
