Description: Vintage restaurant plate from the Martha Washington Inn. Measures 9 3/4" across. White with black or dark gray decoration. Martha Washington Inn logo in the center and decorative floral border around the outer rim. Made of heavy restaurant ware type china. No chips or cracks. There are a lot of surface scratches in the center of the plate. Back is marked McNicol China, Clarksburg, WV. The Martha Washington Inn is still in operation today in Abingdon, VA. I do not know the age of this plate but McNichol China was in operation from 1914 to 1969. Please see photos. I recently acquired this plate as part of an estate collection that included restaurant ware dishes from restaurants, hotels, railroads, airlines, and the armed forces. I'll be listing more over the next week or so.
