This piece has the look of late 18th century Romantic Period style. Though it also appears to have been reframed in the 19th century. The painting is Signed F. Bartels in the lower right hand corner.Here is the mystery part, the painting has been modified as She has had a subtle wardrobe change, I am not sure if this is a result of the original artist or a later modification.
