Vintage Louis Vuitton Monogram Large Suitcase with tag single strap with buckle

Description: This is a true vintage Louis Vuitton Monogram Large Suitcase with a single strap with buckle. The suitcase features tie-down straps inside, and there is a combination lock for secure travel. The exterior is made of durable canvas material with leather trim/accents. Included with the bag will be its original luggage tag with its strap (minus the paper insert), and the original instructions for the combination lock. The sides, top, and bottom form a hard frame. Top and bottom construction features a thick cowhide leather exterior; the corners, edges, outer strap, and handle construction use the matching leather. The soft large sides of the suitcase are constructed out of Louis Vuitton's trademark, super-durable Monogram Canvas. The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. There is no wear, scratches, gouges or distortion on the soft sides of this suitcase. The graphic symbols include the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram are distinguishable and sharp. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram canvas traditional look is also endured by its durability. The roomy interior features a washable interior fabric and two garment straps to keep contents secure during travel. Also in the interior are two elastic topped pouches for storage, one on each side. All of the hardware for the interior components--buckles and rivets-- is bright and clean with no corrosion. The LV manufacturer tag is inside, stitched into place. No wear, stains, rips or flaws in the interior; all of the stitching is tight and intact with no weakness. No unusual odors.The exterior coated canvas is clean and beautiful. The cowhide leather trim overall has probably darkened a bit with age--the main flaw on it is residue from where a sticker was removed on the top. There are scuffs from use, but no deep gouges or water stains. (see detail pictures) The handle is extra clean with no soiling. The exterior leather strap is clean with no damage; it shows slight wear from being buckled and the buckle has wear in the finish on its back side. The other hardware shows age-related patina. The combination lock is working; I don't believe was ever used. It is somewhat pitted from age. The original instructions for it are included. The brass feet show wear on the bottom from use. The zipper pull/combination lock buckle shows age-related patina. The zipper is in very good condition and works as designed. All of the stitching is tight with no gaps or weakness. The original luggage tag and its strap are in excellent condition. Overall, everything about the bag is in great condition. So I really can't furnish that information here. We were told that this was a salesman's sample, which I tend to believe. This suitcase really shows no wear and tear from actual travel, rather just signs of use from being transported for sales purposes. The exterior belt is clean and looks unused, as does the handle; there is no real wear from it being shoved into tight spaces, and the interior is pristine.Please make sure that this will be the suitcase that new owner will want; study the pictures carefully, as there will be no returns on this item.
