Description: Fabulous study of a red lily (lilium cruentum flore pleno) by renaissance engraving legend Johann Theodor De Bry. This print was originally found in his seminal work Florigelum Novum, published in Frankfort in 1612 which featured flowers from around the world. The naturalistic engraving was faithfully reproduced in the early 90s for the famous J. Pocker company in a limited run. This is an authentic vintage offset lithograph, printed in the 90s. Not print to order! This collection was recently re-discovered in factory sealed bundles. Archival quality matte paper and ink, will not fade or yellow with proper care. Unframed.
