Description: Another treasure from Mom's estate. This is a limited edition numbered Herring Gull from Napcoware Japan that was kept in Mom's bird collection cabinet. It is number 347 of a run of 2500. On the bottom it states: It's the first and only edition of handcrafted, hard-fired porcelain figurines created by noted designer Seizo Nakamura and sculptor Tsumeo Katoh in the year 1978. It's a beautifully detailed gull standing on a pier piling at the beach, surrounded by shells. It stands 9" tall, tail to beak is 10" and base is about 5" wide. It's very life-like. It's in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The only issue I see are some small dark spots on it (see pic)
