Vintage Leedy Glockenspiel Xylophone Bells 30 Total 2.5 Octave Sounds Great

Description: I got this Antique Leedy Set from an old Mom & Pops Music Store that closed down in my area. The lady told me they had had them for at least 40 years and originally were not selling them. They later decided they were going to keep as little as possible and I knew I wanted them when I played the first note by hitting my finger on a bar. This thing sounds amazing. This is exactly what they should sound like. What a lovely sound. 30 bars that are 1 inch wide with the original case that is in pretty good condition for being about 100 years old. It is missing the original key but opening the case is not a problem. The hinges and front clasps work as they should with no problems. The handle is in good shape and should last for many more years to come.Some of the bars have some surface rust and surface oxidation. These could easily be cleaned up and looking really good with a little TLC. Or leave it as they are for an older looking patina. There is no heavy pitting or chips, etc. to the bars. They are in really good condition. Im not sure how the rack holding the # (sharp) notes mounts onto the case and I did not want to damage it or do it wrong, so it is not mounted to the case. It stays in there fine and can be moved around, etc. you just have to be careful opening and closing the case. Should be an easy fix though. All in all this Leedy set is in good playable condition. And considering its age, that is pretty cool. A fine example of quality craftsmanship. Something that is sadly seen less and less at this time.Will be shipped with insurance and a signature will be required when received. Due to its weight shipping is kinda pricey. It will be packed and padded and shipped with care.
