Description: This lot of 38 vintage handkerchiefs have been kept in the original greeting cards & envelopes in the cedar chest. The majority were given as gifts and are definitely never used. Some are Irish Linen, some are made in Switzerland, several have crocheted edgings, come are a type of chiffon, others are embroidered, some are embossed with stitching. Several are rather unique as well. I think they are all very pretty. Please look at the photos for the colors and patterns as I grouped them according to their main color. (includes whites, violets, light blues, pinks, reds, yellows, and then a specialty group as well !) The sizes of the handkerchiefs are a wide assortment and range from small to larger ones. There may be few, if any, that could have been used as decoration to a dress or suit, but definitely the majority are in new, original condition. I did not unfold any of them so they are totally vintage from that era where these fancy foldings was customary to do. If you have any questions please let me know.
