Description: From a fascinating find in a local estate auction: a mixed lot of laboratory ware. There are two mortars, one pestle, and a stainless steel beaker. The first mortar is a small porcelain octagon measuring just under 2" across and narrowing down to a 1" base. It is all highly glazed porcelain including the bowl, so it will not absorb anything. It's labeled 'Coors USA 05." Very cute little dish - it would make a great salt cellar. The second mortar is larger, measuring 2.5" in diameter, and has a pouring spout on one side. It is labeled 'Perfect 1 oz.' It stands 2" high. The inside is not glazed but the outsides are. The pestle is glass? rock? in a tapering cylinder 4" long. It has a grey tone and swirling patterns inside - I took a photo in direct sun so you can see for yourself. The ball end fits in both the mortars. Last is the stainless steel beaker, labeled "Vollrath, Sheboygan Wis., 125 ml." It is straight sided and about 2.5" tall with a diameter of 2." There is a raised lip and pouring spout. Again, this would make great kitchen or barware. These are all in good condition. If you want to use them for comestibles, please be sure to wash thoroughly with bleach before using.
