Description: From what I have read the Kodak Six-20 Flash Brownie is a vintage camera made in the USA by Eastman Kodak. It’s a flash-synchronized version of the Kodak Six-20 Brownie Special. The camera features a sheet-metal body, covered with artificial leather, and has a unique shape. It includes an optical direct vision finder for framing your shots. There’s a built-in close-up lens for capturing detailed shots. The detachable synchronized flash unit that we do not have, allows indoor and nighttime photography. It accepts either No. 10 or No. 40 flash bulbs. It uses a 6x9 format on 620 film. It was introduced in December 1940, initially priced at $4.25. Later, it was renamed the “Brownie Flash Six-20” in 1946, with a price increase to $5.90. This specific camera we have with serial number #109268 has not been tested with film, but the shutter works hopefully you can see it in the video, weighs approximately 1 pound & 2 ounces. The lenses, view finders and inside the body does need some cleaning. The leatherette material is pulling away from the body. It could be glued back in place, with only a very small amount missing. The film compartment is difficult to get out without the camera handle. The edges of the body & film compartment where they meet when closing it has a little rust. With some cleaning & a little TLC it will make a great piece of history to add to any camera collection, for display at your own camera store or to repair another one. Please look carefully at all photos for this listing is sold as is. Your purchase will help the blind community in our area. Thank you for supporting The Blind Community Thrift Store.
