Description: This is a fully restored KitchenAid Model A-9 coffee grinder. The grinder was completely disassembled and sand blasted, then painted using PPG automotive paint. This grinder is painted in Choc. Brown metallic. It was then hand lettered and striped. The motor was overhauled including new shear pin, brushes and plug. It was then lubricated. Burrs and switch are checked and replaced when needed. These grinders were first introduced in 1937 by KitchenAid, a division of Hobart, and sold into the 1950's. They are generally considered to be the first home electric coffee grinder. The grinder includes a measuring cup and copy of the original instructions. Thanks to Don Francisco's Coffee, I am including two bags of their family reserve coffee. This grinder measures 14" tall and 4 1/2" dia. It will be carefully packed and shipped UPS with Ins. For international shipping, please contact me for accurate pricing. I will be listing several grinders in different colors. These will make great, unique Christmas gifts.
