Description: This mixer is not working and sold as-is. Parts or repair only. It is dangerous to use this mixer without first making repairs. Do not purchase this if you intend to use it and are not capable of making the needed repairs and safely working with appliances that connect directly to AC wall power. This was my grandmother's KitchenAid mixer. I tried to keep it alive as long as I could, but I'm at my limit. I sent this off to Mr Mixer a couple years ago and had the lube changed and the cord was replaced with a grounded three prong cord. This is an important part of improving the safety of an old metal appliance. One of the capacitors blew and I replaced the two caps with new Kemet Y rated safety capacitors. The mixer ran for a while with these repairs, but it shorted out and trips the breaker (thanks to the grounded plug). It may be that the cap was not wired securely enough and some exposed lead touched the side of the case. The mixer is complete. The internals can be used for parts and there are many desirable accessories included:- The wire beater is in good condition- The aluminum bowl is in good condition- The glass Pyrex bowl is in good condition- The meat grinder and wooden ram are in good condition. A little surface rust is visible.- The slicer/shredder appears to be in good condition. I never used it.- Including a wire storage clip purchased from Mr Mixer that was never used.
