Description: Usually executed in plastic, this sculpture of an embarrassed, pregnant French girl also is normally accompanied by the titling from the WWII meme: "Kilroy Was Here". The example offered here has been rendered in what looks like pewter, and it is faithful in form and size to period pieces, measuring about 3-1/2" x 1-5/8". Condition:Excellent vintage condition. Although the figurine looks like a clone of the well-known "Kilroy Was Here", it does not have that annotation. In fact, it has no annotation as to date, composition or artist. From Google groups:The phrase took on a life of its own and began appearing in out-of-the-way spots all over the world. It was generally meant to prove that members of the U.S. armed forces had been there first. During the war, supposedly, some pregnant women showed up in delivery rooms with the phrase scrawled on their bellies.
