I have no expertise with this item and cannot offer any representation of its functionality - so have taken many photos of the projector you will receive and will describe what I observe as completely as I can-- It turns on immediately-flip the switch to the middle position and the motor turns on and the belt starts moving strongly - flip the switch to the right position and the bulb lights up and is also strong . then go to the left speed adjustment dial and it works well increasing speed as you turn to the right. I'm sorry I can't do better but the main functions appear to work and if you are looking at this listing I have to assume you can make your own determination as it is sold as is.
