Description: I am offering a collection of 42 Vintage “TV GUIDE” magazines, primarily from 1952-1962, in conditions ranging from Gd to Ex, but mostly VG to Ex. The condition of the magazines will be expressed in photos along with my simplified descriptions (Gd, Vg, Vg/Ex, and Ex). Please examine my photos and make your own evaluation of their worth to you. Each magazine will have 3 photos including the front cover, back cover, and the Table of Contents, to give you as complete a feel for the item as possible. They will be shipped in crystal clear Mylar bags, inside an extra rigid white fiberboard mailer, as quickly as I make the sales. The cover on this particular July 9, 1960 Pittsburgh Region issue features Chet Huntley and David Brinkley covering the Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles. They were co-anchors of NBC's very popular nightly news program - "The Huntly-Brinkley Report" which ran from 1956-1970. They had replaced "The Camel News Caravan", one of the earliest nightly news programs on television, hosted by John Cameron Swayze. Like the "Camel News Caravan", the "Huntly Brinkley Report" was initially 15 minutes long, but after 7 seasons was expanded to 30 minutes in 1963, a week after CBS did likewise with Walter Cronkite. This magazine, almost 65 years old, is still in Gd/Vg condition with all pages intact and no markings inside.
