Description: Gail is one of the most stunning of the Josef Originals figurines, whether in the pink dress or aqua (I am selling both, see my other listings). She was made in California by Muriel Joseph George, one of her earliest productions, The Garden Party Series, 1950s. Measuring at approximately 5.5”.Gail poses with an air of dignity in a graceful kind of way. She is grand in her the pink flowing gown with aqua accents and aqua gemstones in the flowers, one on her bonnet and two more compliment the hem of her dress. The gown is full and flowing with beautiful gold accents along the neckline and sleeves. On the bonnet is gold spaghetti trim as well as a gold ribbon that hangs around her neck down past her waist. Her expression is dreamy.The famous copywrite Josef Originals signature is on the bottom as well as #240. On the side of her dress is the Josef Originals tag, California. Gail was made in the US before moving their production studio to Japan. She also has the Gail tag near the hem. Please note. This item is in excellent vintage condition except for a touch of crazing (see pics). Otherwise, no scratches, chips, or repairs. The flowers and gems are all intact. This figurine is hand painted so there may be some fading, imperfections, adding a touch of character, but I see nothing that stands out other than crazing. She is beautiful for the age. Please review the description and pictures with care. I am happy to send additional pics if needed. I work hard to describe what I see. All sizes are approximate.
