Description: Vintage Jean Patou, Possibly Moment Supreme, No Label Sealed Click images to enlarge Description Up for auction is a vintage Jean Patou Perfume Bottle. There is no label. But I believe this could be the fragrance: Moment Supreme. This is a rare bottle in that it is not a screw cap like many of the bottles. It is a glass stopper, with onion skin and copper cording. This closure is called: a Baudruchage, it is made by placing a dampened, pliable membrane (like onion skin) over the neck and stopper of the bottle. The condition of the glass bottle is excellent. There are several U shaped curved panels going around the bottle front and back. The bottle front has an area where the paper label would have fit in. The glass stopper is a rounded half spherical button like closure, with pleats or slices in the glass. Although some of the fragrance has evaporated, I do not believe this bottle was ever opened. See photos 4 & 5 The underside of the glass bottle has Patou stamped in the center. Due to the age, the fragrance will not have the longevity of a new bottle off the shelf. However, since the bottle may not have been opened, there is a good chance the fragrance would still smell like it should, since it has not been exposed to oxygen. Sealed bottles can be good for years. The height of the bottle is about 5 ½ inches tall. Shipping is $ 8 to the winning bidder. If you live in Texas, will need to pay state sales tax.
