This size vase was popular as a large ikebana flower arranging container to be placed in the tonkonoma area of a Japanese house. The vase is imprinted with a rope texture and decorated with a green crackle glaze on one side, indicative of Oribewear popular for use in the Tea ceremony. This vase is glazed both inside and out. The vase is in good condition. It measures 10" tall and 7" in diameter (25.5 x 17.5 cm) and weighs 7 lbs. A great piece of art!
