Description: Whether you use this dish for trinkets, candy or soap, you'll be happy it's in your collection! It's a Vintage Blue Maple Leaf hand painted with gold edges and gold veining. The blue glaze has subtle Aurora Borealis effect to it, flashing different colors when you move it. I tried to show this in different lighting in the photos. It's very pretty. Glossy white on the bottom of dish. The leaf has a 3d effect, with molded veins on the surface in addition to the thin gold painted veins. No chips or cracks. There is wear to the glaze (esepcially on raised points), though that may be original to firing. It is stamped on the bottom N Japan M. I can not find any info about that mark. Estimated to be from the 50s or 60s. Measures 6.5" x 7" at widest points. I'm selling a friend's collection of vintage pottery, china and collectables. Please take a look at my other auctions if you like those things.
