Description: Antique 'J. Lyons & Co Ltd.' teaspoon from the teashops chain in England, United Kingdom, from the 1940s. Silverplated, about 5 inch long. Has a nice heft. Back of spoon is marked as follows:"Elkington," (the Birmingham, U.K., silver-plating company that made it), "J. Lyons & Co LTD" (for the line of café establishments) in small capital letters, and "TT" in larger capital letters -- we're not sure what this stands for but maybe it was a subcontractor to Elkington, or stood for the Teashop line of items. This is in very good condition (photos do not do it justice as too many reflections) and was recently polished. Shipped via USPS First Class Package.
