Description: Lovely vintage Virgin Mary statue from Italy featuring Our Lady with arms and hands outstretched and stepping on the snake with her foot; she does not have any structural damage though she has numerous chips in her finish which someone lovingly repainted to blend (see last 3 photos for reference). There is a chip over her right eye, and whomever painted her did a nice job trying to replicate her eye (see photo #5 for reference) and there is some crazing all over her dress in the front (see last photo). This beautiful Madonna measures aprox. 18" in height, 7" wide (hand to hand) and is 4" deep and weighs just under 6 pounds. Made of hollow plaster (known as chalkware).
