Description: According to the Goins knife book Diamond Edge was a trademark used by Shapleigh Hardware from 1864-1900 and again from 1902-1915 but, This knife tang stamp has Imperial PROV. R. I. with U.S.A. Vertically on the right and a small Crown over " AI ". This was used by Imperial from 1954-1988. It would be hard to determine exactly of which decade it was made from with the information I have available. The knife is has a crown in a diamond logo and " Diamond Edge 854DE " on the blade etching. It also has " DE " on the shield. The knife does have pocket wear and will likely need to be sharpened. There are some brown spotting dots on the spines and the scales are missing some finish on the ends near the bolsters. Please study photos they are part of the description.
