Description: Vintage Hemingray - 42 Clear Glass Insulators Made in USA 17C. Clear glass insulator made by Hemingray stamped "Hemingray - 42" and "8." on the front and "Made in USA" along with a mold/date code on the reverse of the skirt. The insulator is stamped "17C" under "Made in USA" and measures approximately 4" tall and 3-5/8" wide. The Hemingray - 42 was manufactured by the company from 1921-1960s and was mostly used on telegraph lines. In good condition with some minor flaws. These insulators are a used vintage item, and as such may be slightly dirty, have rough seam lines, small chips, or internal hairline cracks. No major chips on this insulator, but does have some internal dirt and a small chip on the inner skirt. Please see photos for details.
