Description: This solid wood elephant with tusks was brought back from Japan when we were stationed at Yokota AFB from 1957 – 1960. The elephant stands at 6.0” high and is 7.0” long and 3.0” wide. The elephant weighs in at 1 lb., 13.8oz. It is unclear as to the type of wood used to carve the elephant and whether or not the tusks are actually made of ivory. But it is a marvelous piece of work nevertheless and in excellent condition.
