Description: This is a rare, extremely hard to find piece hand made by Herman August Kahler in the late 1890's and/or early 1900's. The glaze is red lustre, known as maiolica. It is famously known as the Kahler red glaze. It is in good condition. There is a small, minor chip on the top rim of the vase. Please review photos for condition and ask any questions prior to purchase. Herman August Kahler (1846-1917) was a Danish ceramic designer and manufacturer who ran the Kahler ceramic factory in Naestved, Denmark. His work is highly desirable.
