Description: This listing is for two vintage skateboards. These Grentec solid plastic boards are circa 1977 and closing in on 50 years old. The boards are plastic with reinforcing ribs underneath that give them more structure and a solid ride. The Coyote GT II was considered a long board with wide wheels and solid trucks for cruising. Fiberglass, aluminum and some wood boards at that time tended to "bounce" a little in the middle. The larger Coyote GT II board is 24" with a kick tail and a little bit of an upturned nose so you can walk the board. The top is textured for grip. It's about 6" wide at center, 5" wide over the rear wheels, and about 5 1/2" over the front wheels. There are light scratches on the bottom side of the kicktail and on the nose, but limited overall wear. Labels are still on the underside. The wheels are red GT and are 2 1/8" tall and just over 2" wide. They are clean with light wear and spin well. The smaller Spoiler II board is 21" with the kick tail. It's about 5" wide at center, 4 1/2" wide over the wheels. There are light scratches, but limited overall wear. Labels are still on the underside. The wheels are red GT are 1 3/4" tall and 1 3/4" wide. They are clean with light wear and spin well. Both boards have GT trucks. The rubber in the trucks still have a lot of life to them. I'm a product of the 1970's & 80's. Got my 10 speed bike for Christmas 1975, but it didn't get much mileage because I got my first skateboard in 1977 at 12 years old. It was a Grentec Coyote GT II, just like the one listed. I put hundreds of miles on my board in western Pennsylvania and rode it through college until about 1987 (I still have it, and still ride it occasionally). If you know western PA, you know there aren't many flat roads. The plastic boards like this one provided a solid downhill ride. We would tighten the trucks to take out speed wobbles, find the steepest hills, and crouch down for speed. I know we hit 40 mph if not more on a few hills. My opinion is that these Grentec boards are underrated. I tested mine for performance and knew I had the best board on the block. Both of these boards are super clean, solid, and collector quality. Ride them or Display them !!! Be sure to check out my other listings.
