Description: For sale is a beautiful early 1970's MacGregor MH 100 Geodetic Suspension football helmet. The MH 100 was typically a clear shell football helmet. When I say clear shell, what I mean is the helmet detailing is underneath the shell...in other words, it's on the inside and shows through the shell! It's a process that manufacturers MacGregor used in the 70's but has long since disappeared. This helmet is a clear shell and the white paint and navy blue center stripe are under the shell. The two Colts horseshoes are thin mil, vinyl decals applied to the outside, as the Colts did when they used MacGregor helmets. This particular helmet is a size 7. It is in excellent condition with all padding and components in solid, clean condition. The jaw pads are in complete and excellent condition as well. The facemask is a red dot NOPO 70's style mask. It shows signs of wear, with minimal signs of metal being exposed in the top corners. The clips that are holding the mask on the helmet are Helmet Hut reproductions, as the old ones broke into 30 pieces many years ago. The chinstrap is a blank, vintage style, gray cup, two point chinstrap. Look at the pictures. Clear shell helmets in any form are getting more and more difficult to find.
