Description: VINTAGE FRENCH GILTED BRONZE TURTLE SCULPTURE CULTURED MARBLE BASE ORIGINAL TAGS This has been in our “reptile collection” for a lot of years. It’s from France and the sculpture has been commercially produced. Many were made and probably sold to tourists. It’s a very nice sculpture mounted on a round, black cultured marble base. Because of the weight, the origin in France and the gold color of the sculpture, I am guessing that it is gilted bronze. It is vintage, most likely ranging from 1950’s to 1960’s. There’s a Made in France sticker, along with the style number and color on another sticker, 372 and noir (black). This piece is all original. It’s in excellent condition. There are no cracks, breaks or missing pieces anywhere. The finish is shiny with no tarnishing or discoloration. This sculpture is very heavy for its size. The base is round and measures 4" across.
