Description: Vintage French Barostar Barometer Wooden Display 8" Octagon. This is a vintage Barostar barometer made in France. It is encased in a wooden octagon. There is a switch for off, on, and test. When you put the switch on test, it does emit a loud alarm. I believe this is to notify of a sharp change in barometric pressure. I honestly don't know how/if it is in correct working condition. I did switch it on, and it moved to rain, and it was indeed raining at the time. The gentleman I got it from said that it works.
