Vintage FRANCES STOIA Handcrafted Horn and 925 Silver Salad Servers Fork Spoon

Description: FRANCES STOIA GENUINE HORN SALAD SERVERS WITH STERLING SILVERART DECO STYLE - TWO PIECE: SPOON & FORK - VINTAGE C1990 I used to have a home accessories store in the late 1980s - early 1990s where we sold this beautiful line of genuine horn tabletop items from Frances Stoia. Everything from this company was exquisite and designed at the highest level of taste. This is a two-piece salad serving set in the Art Deco style made of genuine horn. Each piece has a sterling silver cap on the end tip of the handle with a typical Deco style flourish debossed in the silver. They are hallmarked with two stamps each; the first says "925", but alas, I am unable to read the second stamp as I don't have a strong enough magnifier! (Though it looks like it could be a symbol followed by 5 digits...) The handles are wide and flat; the bowls of each piece are nearly round with the fork's short "tines" being very square in the cuts, and shallow as most salad serving forks tend to be. The set is nearly mint, appear unused. There is one very small point of damage where there is a 3mm x 1mm dent in the sterling silver on the fork end. Not glaringly obvious if using in the normal course of serving. The horn looks as original without any grime, oils, stains, or other signs of wear. CLEAN!
