Description: This unique fold-out field case is more than likely a one-of a kind survivor. There are similar cases that are set up as fishing tackle-boxes, but this field case had a higher purpose in its useful life. It helped to save lives. What higher purpose could there possibly be? Retired now, from its noble function, this black case is still beautiful, wearing its scars as a series of reminders of the stories it must hold. Please take a look at all of the photos, as I have tried my best to document the honest condition of this special box. I have no provenance for this field case, other than the California Fire Rescue Paramedic Assn. emblem, which is still bright and vibrant, though scarred. It is a cleverly crafted fold out box, constructed of wood and covered in an embossed faux leather, which matches other similar boxes from the 1950's-1960's. What a wonderful find for history buffs, firefighters, paramedics, EMTs or other heroes that could place this special case in a place of honor amongst other collectibles of the genre. Even without the tie to our unsung heroes, this fold-out field case would stand out as a decorative item. The fact that it holds such history is only a bonus. Don't let this one slip through your fingers. You may well never see another one again.
