Description: THANKS FOR CHECKING OUT MY AUCTION. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION AND MY POLICIES BEFORE PLACING YOUR BID. Check out my other items!Be sure to add me to your favorites list! This listing is for a vintage saxophone ligature. There is no brand name on it, but the octagonal cutout on the top matches the ligatures that came with metal Lelandais sax mouthpieces. This one is a little different though, in that it has a 'floating' reed plate, which is not attached to the main body of the ligature. This plate cradles the reed and reduces the 'pinching' action of a traditional ligature, thus providing better response. This ligature is nickel plated. I'm not entirely sure if this ligature is for alto or tenor sax as I do not have a Lelandais metal mouthpiece to check it on. I did try it on some other metal mouthpieces though. It fit best on a Jody jazz tenor piece. It was too big for a Berg (tenor), and a tad small on a Dukoff tenor. It would probably fit a Dukoff alto well. Here are measurements taken of the interior at the back of the ligature with the screws fully tightened...23.65mm high by 21.75mm wide. It can open up from there, but that is the tightest it will close to. This ligature is in very good condition. It has not been bent out of shape. There are no cracks in the metal. The screws function properly. The nickel plating is mostly intact, but has dulled slightly with age. Please feel free to email me with any questions. Thanks again for looking!
