Vintage Flirty 60's-70's Arpeja Young Innocent Short Velvet Dress W/Design Sz 5

Description: For your consideration is a RARE and extremely Pretty Vintage Arpeja Young Innocent Lined Velvet Mini Dress with a Raised Textured Pattern late 1960's, early 1970's cocktail/party dress. I've only seen one other like it and it was sold. You don't need a party to wear this dress, you can wear it to whatever function you wish after purchase. Not exactly sure when I purchased this dress, but at the most I wore it twice or three times. It is in very good Vintage condition, as you can see from the photos. I've also included photos showing the interior lining both front and back. The velvet is extremely soft and flowy. It zips with an eye hook closure at the top. The zipper works great, too. The belt can either be worn in the back or in front. The wavy design is in the fabric itself. Please note, however, that even though it was hardly worn, it is a vintage 60's/70's item and may have barely visible imperfections. Also, it is dry cleanable and I couldn't find a label which states the type of material. I did find a spot at the top of where the belt is sewn at the seam that has come out a little (see last photo). You could probably sew it. It says size 5 on it, I believe it means junior size 5, but not sure. Sizes have changed a bit over the years, so check the measurements below to make sure it will fit you. Underarm to underarm side to side approx 15 1/2", Waist 13" side to side approx., Sleeve length from shoulder to end of sleeve 23" approx., sleeve width is 4" at the wrist approx, 5 1/4" at the elbow approx and approx. 5 1/2" top of the arm (near the underarm), Length of dress from top of V neckline (near shoulder) to bottom of dress front 30" (back is slightly longer than front), bottom of the V neckline at front of dress to the bottom of the dress 22" approx.. At the back top of zipper to bottom of dress 31" approx. I'm not a seamstress so measurements are approximate. Let me know if you need other measurements, and also measure a similar item you own to compare with the measurements I've provided. Arpeja was a company popular in the 1960's and 70's. Their divisions included Young Edwardian (formed in 1964), Young Victorian (1967), Young Innocent (1963) and Organically Grown (1971). Their lines were all youth oriented and very trendy.
